My Rainbow Yoga Story by Leelou Poppins

My Rainbow Yoga Story by Leelou Poppins

I studied in Education. I had a car accident. I turned into gentle yoga.

Yoga, meditation, and mindfulness helped me go through life challenges, chronic pain, and most of all, helped to manage my groups while teaching. Personal practice AND sharing with the children with amazing results. I was in my early 20s, thinking: “when I turn 30, I will go to India to do my 200 h training”.

I had another car accident. Professional burn-out. All I could do was yoga. I was at the deep bottom.

I cried. I prayed. I meditated… Then the answer came: kids yoga, now.

I made research online all night and after hours of looking at different options, I found that Rainbow Kids Yoga was coming to Montreal a couple weeks later, in June 2013. I had no money and was on income support. I applied. You generously offered me a payment plan. I did it.

The following summer, I moved to the other side of the country and started offering free yoga classes, got bookings…

I now live at Apex Mountain Ski Resort, starting my business offering different services for families: childcare, tutoring, kids and family yoga, peaceful parenting coach, etc.

My favorite part of Rainbow Yoga is family yoga, because it is the most amazing, playful, and safe space to share about conscious parenting – and make a difference in this world.
