How has Rainbow Yoga changed my life?

Adelaide Ambassador of Rainbow Yoga
Well back in December 2014 I flew to Melbourne from Adelaide for RKY Teacher Training in Abbotsford, Melbourne. I had never had time away from my family and so was a little nervous, but excited as well.
By midday my life had changed.
I was in a room of 45 strangers who seemed to understand me more than anyone ever had.
It is hard to put into words, but Gopala in a few seconds spent on words he said to me, changed my world.
A man I had known for approximately 15 hours showed me I was worthy of being loved, with his words and empathetic understanding – which woke me up to the fact “ that if a stranger can show me this much love, why can’t I love myself like this too?”
I had gained the tools to bring this amazing training back to all the children I already work with in Adelaide.
I had become a better version of me.
I am a calmer & happier person with all the knowledge I gained
I am a better Mum because I see how important remembering how to play is and I do my best to play daily as an adult.
I have a deeper understanding, and continue to increase my knowledge in this, of how to work with children’s different personalities, behaviours, abilities, traumas & backgrounds.
I get to see the benefits of this amazing program daily when children are growing and learning through play, movement, emotions, relaxation and trust.
I get to hear the benefits that parents are experiencing in their homes with their children and how it has extended to their whole family. Children are teaching their siblings and parents about how to slow down your breath and they are playing Yoga games at home together.
I get to hear from Educators how Rainbow Yoga has changed their personal and work lives – seeing the benefits of the program and so taking on learnt strategies, ideas & playing more at home & work.
I get to experience so much beauty working with children daily and hearing from them about how they have used what they have learnt in their lives eg. “I felt really grumpy at home and so I did my hand tracing breath and then I felt better.”, “we are now using relaxation stones at rest time every day and I love it – it helps me to be still and relax my body”.
Rainbow Yoga gave me my calling. I was already working with children, but this training has made me SHINE.
I get to be with beautiful little souls every day who are going to change the world.
I know I am making a difference to children’s lives and that is a gift that was given to me by Rainbow Yoga that I will be forever grateful for.
All my love, April
