A Journey to Connection
I want to tell you about Rainbow Kids Yoga not as a sales pitch, but as an invitation, an opportunity to be part of something that has changed my life and the lives of so many others around the world.
There’s a moment that stays with me every time I lead a Rainbow Kids Yoga class. It’s when I see a child’s eyes light up with that pure, unfiltered joy. I see them run around the room, balancing like flamingos or soaring like eagles, not caring if they stumble, giggle, or shout. It’s not just a yoga class, it’s a celebration of life, and it reminds me why I do this work.
It’s even more so when families join together to do yoga. It’s those rare moments of connection that we steal in this world that is so busy, so fast and so full of distractions. It often makes me shed a tear when I see them holding hands supporting each other in a yoga pose, looking into each other’s eyes, breathing together, hugging and laughing.
If you’ve ever wanted to create those moments for kids and families, if you want to make this world a bit lighter and a lot more loving, joining our mission to make the world a better place with yoga and mindfulness is for you.
When I first started teaching yoga to kids, I thought I was the one doing the teaching. But I quickly learned that kids have this incredible way of turning everything on its head. They don’t just learn yoga; they embody it. They teach you what it means to be present, to laugh freely, and to move without fear of being judged.
Doing yoga together in our Rainbow Yoga circles is a journey back to that freedom. It’s a chance to learn how to guide kids through yoga in a way that feels natural, playful, and deeply connected. But it’s also a chance to reconnect with yourself, to remember how to play, how to find joy in the simple things, and how to spread that joy to those around you.
The ripple effect is very much real here. When we feel down, we make the whole world a bid sadder. But creating joy and peace together is even more infectious. Through you to the children and familes you teach, from them to their extended family and their friends, to their schools and work places, to the community, country… And yes, eventually to the whole world.
This is why I feel that Rainbow Yoga is not a company or a teacher training or a style of yoga; it is a movement. It is a change in the world that is very much needed right now and it all starts with coming closer together to connect with hands and hearts.
In our Rainbow Kids Yoga classes, we don’t just teach yoga, breathing, mindfulness and relaxation; we teach a way to be. A way to be a better family member, a better friend, a better student, and our own best self. This is how we contribute very practically into making a positive social change.
At our Rainbow Kids Yoga Teacher Trainings we don’t just teach you how to lead a yoga class. We teach you how to create a space where every child feels seen, heard, and loved. Our training is full of laughter, stories, and moments that remind us of the beauty of connection and the importance of holding a bit tighter, longer and more lovingly to each other.
We make yoga feel like play, while still helping kids and families learn important life skills. We breathe through our feelings, find calm in the chaos, and understand that we are stronger together.
We are a global family. When you join Rainbow Kids Yoga, you’re not just taking a training. You’re becoming part of a global family that stretches across continents and cultures. We have nearly 40,000 Rainbow Kids Yoga teachers around the world now, all of whom share a deep love for kids, community, and connection. We support each other, lift each other up, and celebrate every little victory on our path of bettering the world - Young people’s world and the world at large.
There’s something powerful about knowing that wherever you are, there are others like you who are spreading joy and peace in their own little corners of the world.
I didn’t start this journey with a big plan. I just wanted to make a difference, and I realised that kids are where it starts. They’re open, curious, and full of love. And they deserve to grow up in a world that nurtures those qualities, rather than stifling them.
Teaching kids yoga isn’t just about poses, it’s about giving young people a toolkit they can carry with them through life. It’s about showing them that they have everything they need inside themselves to find peace, strength, and resilience. And along the way, it’s about rediscovering that same truth for yourself.
Becoming a children yoga teacher isn’t a glossy, perfect package. It’s a messy, joyful, beautiful experience that’s about people, not programs. And we will be here all along the way to support you, laugh with you, and learn with you. If you’re ready to bring more light and connection into your life, the lives of kids, and yes, to the whole world too, your place is with us and us with you.
